International Friendship Day

Celebrating International Friendship Day this year was one of the most memorable experiences that I had in this school. On that day, Jia Bin, Shu Hui, Annabella, Teresa, Shammah, Stefi, Elyza, Jolene, Jia Yee, Xin Wei, Sharon, Theresia and I left our class at 8.30am and went to the canteen and met Madam Yap there. We were supposed to set up stalls of different countries in the canteen and selling the food that we made or cooked to school. Shammah, Stefi, Teresa and I were managing the Singapore stall. Shammah brought 'Bobochacha?' and some sort of fried peanuts with a little spice on it. At the end of the day, the Singapore stall and the China stall with Jia Bin, Shu Hui and Annabella managing, had everything on their table sold off. We also calculated the amount of money that we had earned. The Chinese stall earned a total of $80 while the Singapore stall earned only $32. At last, when everyone was packing up, everyone did not want to leave and requested to let them in if there was any other events like that.

Personal Confessions (Cross - Country)

This year's cross - country was an exciting an interesting event as I really had fun there. The competitors who were supposed to run for more than 3km, started off the race first. I was one of the runners in the fun run, and we went after the competitors. Some of the guys, who were the competiors, ran more than 3km and came back in less than twenty minutes! Everyone was amazed and shocked at the speed they ran. When I started running, I realised how rocky the path was at some turns ans sometimes, I had difficulty running and I almost tripped! When I was on the rocky path, I did not feel tired as the air was really fresh in there. As I ran out by the roadside, I felt exhausted and had difficulty breathing. At that moment, I really felt like giving up as I was too tired to run and the air was too stuffy. The encouragement from my friends along the way told me not to give up and upon hearing that I was getting near to the finishing line, I was determined to finish this run quickly and I started to jog as my chest and stomach started to hurt. I even took over my friends who encouraged me earlier on! Soon, I completed the race and I really felt delighted and was proud of myself for not giving up when the race was actually going to end.
